About the Quality Assurance Team
Our team is comprised of two healthcare professionals with years of clinical experience that serve as invaluable when reviewing every provider:
JoAnn Lee, RN, Chief Clinical Officer, draws from years of quality control experience to carefully review each healthcare provider’s background and serve as a liaison between providers and clients. She also provides internal employees with insight into healthcare industry trends.
Joseph M, Sturdivant, MD, Chief Medical Officer, works as a peer-to-peer communicator to bring clarity to any situation that may arise. He is also developing an educational program for healthcare providers, including residents, about locum tenens employment.

A long-standing partnership has existed between Adventist Health and ICON. As all programs grow and expand, so does the need for solid staffing options.
The physician shortage in this country continues to worsen. ICON, as a premier locum tenens staffing firm, is there for our clients when they need us most. For Adventist Health this was to keep the program thriving. We quickly determined after discussions with hospital leadership that the need was to relieve their current Interventional Cardiologist from weekends and to provide him vacation time.
We quickly recruited a team of seven leading interventional cardiologists who could take call every weekend, four weekends a month, consistently. No interruptions. We knew the patients in the community counted on us.
We planned this out for nine months as they recruited a provider to join full time. The full-time provider was successfully onboarded to the Adventist Team. Given the strength and talent of our locums, we have created a group of providers they can lean on and will use as the program continues to grow.
We received local recognition due to the talented providers we placed. We redeployed this same team to a nearby facility in 2021.
