Locum Correctional Dentist *126697: North Western, Arizona
- Start – ASAC
- Coverage – Part time
- # of Patients Per Day – 10 – 16
- Length of assignment – 3 months
- Schedule – Tuesday – Thursday – 24hrs per week
- Credentialing Timeframe – 21- 40 days
- License – AZ active license
- Staffing Mix – at least 1 dental hygienist and assistant
- About the facilities – privately run minimum/medium-security prison designed to hold ~3500 prisoners.
- Requirements – DDS or DMD degree, Arizona Dental Board License, DEA & CPR certificates, 1+ years of experience preferred but not required
- Job Function –
- Perform routine dental treatment including examining teeth and gums for cavities, infections, and diseases; taking necessary x-rays; performing fillings, extractions, cleanings, full and partial dentures, and anterior and premolar root canals as warranted.
- Diagnose and develop dental treatment plans for inmates
- Develop, coordinate, and supervise the facility dental program to include advising and instructing inmates in the cause and prevention of dental disease.
