- Looking for a Pediatrician to start as soon as credentialed for call coverage
- MUST have ACTIVE CA license and DEA
- Certifications Needed: NRP certification & needs to have/had in-patient hospital affiliation, within their specialty, in the last two (2) years.
- Shifts: 24-hour Call coverage (7 am – 7 am)
- Coverage needs per month: 6-7 shifts/month. Our average deliveries per month is approximately 30 (1 per day).
- Coverage will include: well newborn exam on delivery; follow-up with any additional needs until discharge; discharge exam; attendance at delivery if requested by MD for neonatal concern and/or transfer to higher level of care if the neonate needs NICU service.
- Support Staff: OB department staff include 3 scheduled nurses per shift that all have competencies in newborn care and are NRP certified. The facility also have an OB Tech who coordinates discharge for neonate with birth certification registration, hearing screen, newborn screening and pediatric follow up. The unit has 3 Board Certified Lactation Consultants that assist mom with breast feeding.
