Join a high-volume, nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where you'll work alongside an experienced emergency medicine team in a fast-paced, well-supported environment. This ongoing locum opportunity is ideal for board-certified emergency physicians seeking consistent shifts, strong clinical support, and flexible scheduling.
Assignment Details
- Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
- Start Date: Ongoing
- Duration: Ongoing coverage need
- Schedule: Primarily nocturnist coverage; providers able to work 6-8+ shifts per month preferred
- Physician Shift Options:
- 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Trauma)
- 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (General Medicine)
- Setting: Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department
Facility Highlights
- Approximately 75,000 annual ED visits
- 80 hours/day of physician coverage
- 36 hours/day of Emergency Medicine resident coverage
- 36 hours/day of Advanced Practice Provider coverage
- 4 trauma bays
- 12 critical care rooms
- 32 monitored exam rooms (including 4 dedicated psychiatric rooms)
- 5 triage stations
- 7 Fast Track bays
- Dedicated decontamination room
- Approximately 40% admission rate through the Trauma Emergency Center

What You'll Do
- Provide emergency medical care in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emergency conditions
- Manage trauma and critical care patients
- Collaborate with Emergency Medicine residents, APPs, nursing staff, and specialty consultants
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
- Physicians only (Family Medicine/Internal Medicine-trained physicians are not accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
- Active Oklahoma medical license required before credentialing can begin
- Oklahoma DEA and Oklahoma BNDD must be in process before hospital application submission
